Economics doctoral candidate at Louisiana State University with interests in environmental economics, health economics, and labor economics.
As a Louisiana local with loved ones located all over the state, a strong stake in improving the economic well-being of all Louisiana residents has further cultivated my pre-existing interest in environmental, health, and labor economics. I find the intersection of all three fields in my job market paper, “Commuting and Polluting: Evidence from Louisiana Housing Prices”. This project has been a challenge that has necessitated the development of many new skills, from working with pollution modeling programs to geospatial analysis tools to writing in multiple programing languages. I look forward to sharing my research with my local community as well as fellow economists.
I was awarded a teaching award by the Department of Economics at LSU in 2023, and in early December, I was notified that I have been nominated for the 2024-2025 College Teaching Awards.
